Navigational Rules of the Road is an in-depth review of the COLREGS for international and inland marine navigation rules. This 16 hours cours with proctored 50-question exam meet requirements for original issuance or renewal of any deck credential up to Master 200 Gross Registered Tons, Master or Mate of' Fishing Vessels, and Apprentice Mate (Steersman) if presented within one year of the completion of training; OR receive 8 days sea service credit.
This course is equivalent in scope and difficulty to the Rules of the Road examination module for International + Inland, for Coast Guard personnel only applying for Deck Watch Officer exam credit, as per COMDTINST 16672.5C.
Course Fees: $195 Plan ahead for your proctored exam. Ideally, give us at least a two-week window for scheduling and sending out the exams. With over 400 proctored exam locations around the country, we usually can find a test center within one to two hour drive. BUT if local test centers can not help, it may be farther.
